Since 1904, Ravinia Festival has been Chicago's "sound of summer," a place where you can meet up with your friends and hear some of the greatest music in the world. It is a place where you can hop on the train, pick your favorite spot on the lawn, and picnic under a candlelit dinner as you gaze up at the stars.
Approach
A visit to Ravinia should be something special. This idea is what drove my work as an in-house designer to develop a new logo and ad campaign. We designed an entire range of supporting communication tools: from exterior signage and box office posters, to print advertising and an annual report. For the entire summer season, new brochures, flyers and print pieces heralded the work of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and pop stars.
Result
The new style reflects Ravinia’s history yet is modern and powerful. 2006 set new records for attendance throughout the entire summer.
